Setting Up Your Company Profile

Your company profile is the one place where you store your business information. Once saved, LienWaiver.pro uses it to pre-fill your details into every waiver you generate, so you're not retyping your company name, address, and license number on every job.

Why it matters

Every lien waiver requires the claimant's information: that's you, the contractor or subcontractor waiving lien rights. Without a profile saved, you fill those fields manually each time. With a profile saved, the wizard and Send & Sign form pre-fill them automatically when you start a new waiver.

It takes 2 minutes to set up and saves repetitive entry on every waiver after that.

What each field is used for

Only Company Name is required. Everything else is optional, but more fields saved means fewer fields to fill in manually.

  • Company Name (required): Pre-fills as the claimant name on all waivers. Also pre-fills the "check payable to" field on conditional waivers.
  • Primary Contact Name: Stored with your profile for reference. Useful if multiple people manage waivers under one account.
  • Primary Contact Email: Stored for reference. Does not appear on the waiver PDF itself.
  • Address: Pre-fills as the claimant's street address. Several states require a claimant address on the statutory form.
  • City, State, ZIP: Combined with the address to form the full claimant address on the waiver.
  • Phone: Pre-fills as the claimant's phone number. Missouri's statutory form requires a phone number near the signature line. This field covers that automatically.
  • License Number: Stored with your profile. Does not appear on the waiver PDF in most states, but is displayed in your profile summary for quick reference.

How it appears on the waiver PDF

When you open the waiver wizard, your company profile pre-fills these fields in the Claimant Details section:

  • Claimant name: your Company Name
  • Claimant address: your full address (street, city, state, ZIP)
  • Claimant phone: your Phone (where required by state law)
  • Check payable to: your Company Name (on conditional waivers only)

You can edit any pre-filled value before generating the PDF. The profile is a starting point, not a lock.

How to set up your profile

  1. Go to Dashboard > Settings.
  2. Find the Company Profile card.
  3. Click Set Up Profile (or Edit Profile if you've already saved one).
  4. Enter your Company Name. Fill in the remaining fields as completely as possible.
  5. Click Save Profile.

The profile saves immediately. Your next waiver will pre-fill from it automatically.

Keeping it updated

Update your profile any time your company information changes: new address, new phone number, updated license number. Changes apply to all future waivers. Waivers you've already generated are not affected.

If you operate under multiple business names (for example, different entities for different trades), note that LienWaiver.pro currently supports one company profile per account. You can update the profile before generating waivers for a different entity, or edit the pre-filled fields in the wizard on a per-waiver basis.
